EHA is holding a free webinar on Wednesday 13 November 2024 for Australian Food Safety Week.

This webinar is focussed on encouraging everyone to "Look before you cook!”

The theme ‘look before you cook’ is about reading the safety advice on food labels such as cooking and storage instructions as well as use by and best before dates.

Food manufacturers are required by law to include information on storage, allergens, best before and use by dates on labels. This information is important in reducing the estimated 4.67 million cases of food poisoning in Australia each year that result in 47,900 hospitalisations, 38 deaths, costing the economy $2.1 billion.
